I used charcoal to sketch this gannet. To create the feathered effect on the back of the head I used a rubber to remove some of the charcoal. I darkened areas of the background to make the image stand out and lightened other areas.Gannets can often be seen plunge diving around the Dumfries and Galloway coast. Fantastic to watch!
